The egg yolks and whites are separated. The egg whites are beaten to stiff peaks with a pinch of salt. Separately, the yolks, sugar, and milk are beaten. Gradually, while stirring continuously, the flour, baking powder, salt, and butter are added to the yolk mixture.
The beaten egg whites are then gently folded into the soft batter. The mixture is baked in a waffle maker until a golden crust forms.
