Potato and Bacon Casserole

1 kg potatoes
4 eggs
400 ml CREMIO cooking crème
400 g bacon strips
400 g yellow cheese (or mozzarella/cheddar)
20 g butter
salt
black pepper

Slice the potatoes into thin rounds. Grate the cheese using a coarse grater.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and mix them with the CREMIO cooking crème.

Grease a baking dish with butter.
Layer the ingredients as follows:

  1. A layer of potatoes,

  2. A layer of bacon strips,

  3. Sprinkle with some of the grated cheese.

Repeat the layers – potatoes, bacon, cheese – and finish with a final layer of potatoes topped with the remaining cheese.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Pour the egg and cream mixture evenly over the top.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 40–50 minutes, until golden and set.
